Travel Teams are the programs for our older players (turning 9-19 during the soccer seasonal year).

Teams are entered into leagues that encompass South Central Connecticut - from Stratford to Naugatuck, to Meriden, to Clinton and all towns encompassed.

Teams are open to all that sign up and currently we don't conduct try-outs. Travel teams are very different from in-house teams. Travel teams play to win, though not at all costs - East Haven teams believe in fair playing time. Players are expected to be at most practices and games (exceptions for players that play on higher level or school teams). Most East Haven teams get together and play during the winter in private leagues.

Travel teams will usually practice twice a week. Games can be on any day, but usually Saturdays and Sundays. Scheduling is conducted prior to the season, but changes in schedules are normal due to cancellations.

Practices and Home Games are normally at Gillis Field (Talmadge Park) for U10, U11 and U12 and Molthroup Field/East Haven High School for U13 and above.

Your child needs to bring shin guards (wear underneath socks), proper shoes (cleats preferred if wet field), and a drink. It is a good idea for them to have a ball at home to practice with and to bring to practice (not to games) - a size #4 is used for U10- U12, a size #5 is used for U13 and above.
